![]() ![]() While most of the test subjects die during the Trial, Geralt survived and his intense physical training allowed him to take in even more enhancements, effectively making his hair white and him the physically most powerful Witcher. As every Witcher, he survived many mutations and experiments, including the Trial of the Grasses, which was a test that focused on the soon-to-be Witcher to consume chemical ingredients known as "grasses" (hence the name) to increase their physical capabilities. As he grew up, he was trained in the arts of killing both humans and monsters with his bare fists and weapons alike. His mother took him to the Witchers' School of the Wolf, to the Kaer Morhen fortress shortly after his birth. Geralt was the son of a sorceress Visenna and the presumed Korin.
